Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna (FSIR)

What is Infrared therapy?

Infrared rays are part of the invisible light spectrum and is what you feel as warmth from the sun without the harmful UV rays. The Luminary offers a 4-person full spectrum Infrared Sauna with medical grade chromotherapy and can be booked privately or as a group. Full spectrum means the entire Infrared spectrum of near, mid and far wavelengths are used ensuring that you receive the whole benefit of radiant infrared heat penetrating deep into your body’s tissues and muscles. The IR rays heat your body directly helping to increase your core body temperature. Approximately 80% heats your body and 20% the air so there is little humidity. If you get too warm, you can lower the temperature or open the doors for a few minutes as the IR heaters will continue to heat your body. Warming your body aids in stimulating your immune, cardiovascular and lymphatic systems, which will cause you to sweat. The IR sauna’s base temp is set between 120-125 degrees as this ensures the infrared heaters are at their optimal performance for the start of your session and you get to adjust the temperature to your preference throughout your session.

9 Key infrared therapy Benefits

  • Weight loss and increased metabolism
  • Reduced appearance of cellulite
  • Better sleep
  • Chronic and acute pain relief
  • Eased joint pain and stiffness
  • Stress and fatigue
  • Improved skin
  • Fortifies the Immune System
  • Decreased inflammation

Our sauna is made of cedar wood which is naturally anti-fungal and anti-microbial. Per the manufacturer, they are also the only saunas that cancel out both electromagnetic fields (EMF) and extremely low frequency (ELF), a concern many have when trying to detox. The EMF levels are virtually zero mg and ELF levels are 3-5 times below the threshold of concern. Additionally, there are no toxic glues or adhesives used to build the sauna, so you can truly enjoy a toxic-free environment while detoxing your body!Research has demonstrated multiple health benefits ranging from muscle and joint pain or stiffness relief, improved muscle recovery, increased metabolism, weight loss, immune boosting, decreased inflammation, appearance of cellulite, stress and fatigue. Infrared Saunas are effective in detoxing the body. So effective that firefighters are now using them post incident to lower their carcinogenic load. The positive effects are mostly noticed when used multiple times. You may not notice a difference after only one time, but you sure will feel relaxed!

Red Light Therapy

We are now offering the option of Red Light therapy with your sauna session! A combination of red light (660nm) and near infrared (850nm) wavelengths reducing oxidative stress and stimulating the production of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). This process, known as Photobiomodulation, has been extensively researched for many years and adds measurable energy to the mitochondria of your cells and rejuvenates your skin. The additional near infrared waves are absorbed deep below the surface of the skin. Which is then absorbed by the light receptors in our cell’s mitochondria, promoting cellular regeneration and anti-aging. Our Red Light tower is the only brand that uses variable optics so you get a wider range of coverage thereby maximizing the amount of light absorbed by the human body.

Some of the proven benefits are:
• Reduction of Chronic and Acute Pain
• Skin Rejuvenation (boost collagen & elastin production)
• Tissue Regeneration and anti-aging• Wound Healing
• Muscle Recovery
• Muscle Conditioning
• Testosterone Boost
• Reduced Inflammation

Our infrared sauna produces the same infrared heat produced by the sun and Infrared heat is required for all living things for optimum health. This radiant heat increases the thermal energy in joints, muscles and tissues. When used as intended as part of a healthy lifestyle, our infrared sauna may help living well with certain chronic diseases or conditions.Infrared heat is all around us and you have felt it from sources like fire, heated sand on the beach and the sun (without the harmful ultraviolet waves that the sun gives off). Just as visible light has a range of wavelengths (running from red to violet), so does infrared light: longer wavelength infrared waves are thermal, while short or near infrared waves are not hot at all, in fact, you cannot even feel them. Near and mid infrared enhance the benefits of far infrared.

Less Stress, More sauna.
